Sheri Garvin
Sheri Garvin has been a computer software quality analyst and information architecture consultant in the business sector for 30 years guiding Fortune 500 companies in content management. She owned her own company as a Microsoft Certified Trainer and has also worked as a teacher and trainer, facilitating learning workshops, developing orientation programs, and providing mentoring and coaching. Miss Garvin has also been an adjunct faculty at local colleges and technical schools, teaching software and computer skills.
Miss Garvin obtained an Associates in Business from Indiana Wesleyan University. Then, she returned to college for a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design with a personal focus on fine arts. She has also earned a certification as a Master Instructional Designer through the Association for Talent Development.
A long-time artist, Miss Garvin has been selling her work through consignment shops, galleries, a museum gift shop, and online sources since the 1980s. She currently works in oil and watercolor, but has spent many years creating in multiple mediums including pastels, airbrush, acrylic, photography, illustration, stained glass, paper art and many more. Miss Garvin has illustrated a children’s book and has recently been developing her fine arts skills in ink and watercolor through various workshops and online coursework.
Miss Garvin gave her heart to the Lord at five years old and has made His Word her lifelong study. She has volunteered with various international ministries throughout her life, such as working with Guido Vanbrabant, a missionary once located in Belgium, to manage his correspondence regarding the Siberian Orphan Ministry in the early 2000s. Her hobbies include travel, quilting, reading, genealogy, and birding, which includes hiking while loaded down with binoculars and cameras with large telephoto lenses. She also loves volunteering for and supporting animal and wildlife rescue organizations. Sheri has 28 nieces and nephews and lives with one of her best friends, a dog, and her cat, Bendi, in a small town in Indiana.
Miss Garvin sees the opportunity to teach at Bibleway Academy Online as a continuation of her life’s work serving and supporting the family of God.
