Mr. Coffey is an experienced instructor with a diverse academic and professional background. He was a remarkably successful homeschool student for 13 years before pursuing his college degrees.

Mr. Coffey holds a doctorate in public administration and policy from Virginia Tech, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Radford University. From 2016-2017 he was a Senior Fellow with the Center for Cyber and Homeland Security at George Washington University.

Currently, Mr. Coffey is director of National Security Technologies for a global consulting firm. Previously, he has held senior positions at the White House and a Fortune 200 corporation and worked in a “think tank” early in his career. His academic background includes research on natural disasters, global conflicts, and the intelligence community. He has published articles and papers on these topics, been interviewed by the media, and is regularly invited to speak at conferences and workshops. He is a father of four homeschooled children and serves as a trustee at his church.  Mr. Coffey has taught Sunday school for many years and has led independent study groups and seminars for youth of all ages. He has also been part of many community and non-profit groups and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Vision Books, which translates and distributes Bibles and other materials worldwide. Mr. Coffey attends Arizona Believers Church in Phoenix, Arizona.

This is Mr. Coffey’s second year teaching high school Bible Studies at Bibleway Academy Online. He is looking forward to putting into action his passion for learning and for instructing young people again.
