Mrs. Coffey is a veteran teacher who loves teaching.  She has taught 5th, 6th and 7th grades at Christiansburg Day School, music classes (preschool-grade twelve) at Pathway Christian Academy, and she homeschooled her four sons for twenty-five years. In addition, she has worked as a graduate writing tutor for Liberty University, and she has taught online classes in history, government, geography and music for Big River Academy for the past six years. She has taught piano and music theory in her private studio since 1981, as well.

Mrs. Coffey holds a Master of Arts in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies, a Master of Arts in History, a Bachelor of Science in Education, and an Associate Degree in Arts and Sciences in Liberal Arts.  She also holds a Music Theory Teaching Certificate from the St. Louis School of Music, Progressive Series.

Mrs. Coffey currently resides in her home state of Virginia with her husband. Her husband pastors Hickory Bible Tabernacle in Hickory, North Carolina.  She has been a pastor’s wife for the last thirty-nine years and enjoys serving the Lord in whatever capacity He calls. She loves to play her piano and harp in worship to the Lord.  Mrs. Coffey also plays the soprano, alto, and tenor recorder with the Greenwood Recorder Consort.  Mrs. Coffey has traveled internationally since a very young age with her dad in ministry and then with her husband in ministry. Her favorite places to travel are Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, Norway, Israel, and Tanzania. She also loves traveling to historic places in the United States and visiting museums and battlefields. She loves researching her family genealogy and traveling to interesting places from her family tree.

Mrs. Coffey will be teaching Music I (middle grades elective), United States History, American Government, World Geography, Piano/Keyboarding, and Music Theory and Composition for Bibleway Academy Online.   It has been her dream for many years to open an online school for believers in order to assist homeschooling parents and students in the upper grades. She is thrilled to be a part of the Bibleway Academy Online Development Team and prays that it will be a blessing to believers worldwide.
